SOIL COMPOSITION: clay schist and limestone

VINIFICATION: alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks, malolactic fermentation in french oak
DEVELOPMENT : in barriques for 14 months
AGING : in bottle for at least 18 months
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 14 %
SERVING TEMPERATURE: serve at 18°/19° C
COMBINATION WITH FOOD: Recommended with red meats and garne as well as hard seasoned cheese

TASTING NOTES

COLOUR: Deep violet-red, dark, almost purple
NOSE: spices and sweet berries with tobacco finish and a hint of nutmeg
PALATE: gratifying and full on the palate, tallowy tannins as well balanced with alcohol; ripe red berries and sweetness; persistent and extremely long finish of beauty powder and plume compote
